BERLIN, Md. -- Maryland State Police say troopers responded to a car crash Saturday night in Worcester County as a result of drunk driving.

Authorities reported Michael Jacob Fultz of Whaleyville, MD was driving a white 2004 Ford truck when he struck the rear of a white 2010 GMC SUV, being operated by Amber Steele Brock of Georgetown, DE. Police say both vehicles were traveling in the fast lane of US Route 50, heading eastbound at the time of the collision.

No injuries were reported at the scene of the accident. When troopers approached Fultz, police say a strong odor of alcohol was found on his breath and his person. Fultz agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and, according to police, failed the tests. He was taken into custody for driving under the influence.

Fultz was taken to Berlin Barrack, where police say he has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and negligent driving.
