DOVER, Del. (AP/WBOC) - Dover police say a man wanted for a probation violation led officers on a vehicle pursuit, later fleeing on foot before being cornered on the roof of an apartment building.

Police said that at around 9 p.m. Friday, officers saw a man who was wanted for removing his GPS ankle monitor driving on Fulton Street. Police said the man led officers in a pursuit to the Woodcrest Apartments, then got out of the car and ran.

Law enforcers found the man on the building's roof and he was arrested without incident. According to police, a search of the vehicle he was driving led to the discovery of 6 grams of marijuana.

Twenty-year-old Lewis Foreman is charged with disregard police officer signal, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, second-degree trespass, violation of probation and multiple traffic violations. He was ordered held in default of $2,850 secured bond.
