DOVER, Del.- Delaware State Police say after an overwhelming response of tips from the public through social media and by telephone, they have identified a suspect in the robbery of a convenience store.

Police say the robbery happened around 9:30 a.m. on July 29, as Dylan M. Chambers, 25, of Smyrna walked into the Shore Stop located at 3668 North DuPont Highway.

According to police, Chambers pulled out a knife and confronted an employee, demanding money from the cash register. Police say the clerk complied with Chambers' demands. The suspect then fled from the store. There were no injuries reported.

Police say Chambers shed the clothing he was wearing, including his shoes and the knife, and ran to a nearby store and waited for a car to pick him up. The vehicle in the photo appears to be a newer model Honda CRV with unknown Pennsylvania registration.

The Delaware State Police asks if anyone has any information on Chambers' location and whereabouts to call the Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333 or by sending an anonymous tip via text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword "DSP."
