SHARPTOWN, Md.--Wicomico County Police say three men have been arrested for an armed robbery involving drug trafficking in Wicomico County.

Police say between July 22nd and July 24th, Jeffrey Whitten and Bryan Blake, both of Laurel, DE, along with Logan Littleton of Seaford, DE, conspired to rob a local marijuana drug dealer in Sharptown, MD.

After setting up a meeting at Cherry Beach Park with the dealer, on July 24th, police say the men met the dealer, posing to buy marijuana, and proceeded to pull out a shotgun and an AK-47 style rifle, demanding the drug exchange. Whitten, Blake, and Littleton then attempted to flee the scene, as gunfire was exchanged by both parties; authorities say there were no injuries.

After a Wicomico Bureau of Investigation probe, on July 29th, WBI detectives say they were able to locate and arrest Whitten, 18. He was, then, transferred to the Wicomico County Detention Center. On August 1st, the Maryland State Police Apprehension team was able to locate Littleton, 20, and Blake, 21. They were later arrested and also transferred to the Wicomico County Detention Center. Detectives say they recovered two of the firearms used in the robbery, including the shotgun and the AK-47 style rifle, during Littleton and Blake's arrest.

The WBI says all three men have been charged with armed robbery, theft, assault in the 2nd degree and firearm use.
