Man Critically Injured in Easton Motorcycle Crash

EASTON, Md.- Maryland State Police say a Denton man was critically injured Thursday after a pickup truck collided with his motorcycle in Easton.

Troopers said Donald Dwight Hughes was operating a Ford F-150 and traveling southbound on Black Dog Alley near Matthewstown Road. According to police, for an unknown reason the Ford F-150 continued into the intersection of Matthewstown Road and Black Dog Alley, striking a motorcycle traveling eastbound on Matthewstown Road. 

Investigators said the motorcyclist, identified as 59-year-old Frederick Franklin Kirsch Jr., of Denton, was ejected from the bike. He was flown to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he is listed in critical condition, police said. 

The accident remains under investigation.
