HARRINGTON, Del. - Police have made an arrest in a liquor store robbery that happened last month in Harrington.

During the course of their investigation into the July 29th incident, Harrington police said they were able to link 18-year-old Shaiheme Edwards of Harrington to the robbery.

According to police, officers went to Edwards' home with a search warrant on Tuesday and found him hiding under a bed. They took him into custody, along with a second person of interest identified while they were executing a separate search warrant.

Police said Edwards was charged with first-degree robbery, possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy, offensive touching and resisting arrest. He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $62,500 secured bail.

The second person of interest was released without being charged, according to police. However, detectives are still trying to identify the second suspect in the robbery. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harrington Police Department at (302) 398-4493 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
