DOVER, Del.- Dover Police arrested a man after they say he tried robbing two people at gunpoint.

It happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday on Ridgely Street. According to Dover Police, two men were walking down the road when 18-year-old Riley Braswell approached them.

Police say Braswell pulled out a handgun and demanded the men hand over their belongings. Police say the men fought off Braswell, who then fired multiple shots at them.

According to police, one of the victims was legally open-carrying a firearm and fired back at Braswell. Police say no one was hurt in the exchange.

Police arrested Braswell a short time later. He is charged with two counts of 1st-degree robbery, two counts of reckless endangering 1st-degree, possession of deadly weapon during commission of felony, carry concealed deadly weapon, and possession of firearm by person prohibited.

Braswell was committed to JTVCC in default of $180,000 secured bond.
