Meth Delivery Busted in Smyrna Wawa Parking Lot

SMYRNA, Del. - Two people have been arrested for meth possession in Kent County.

According to the Delaware State Police, drug unit detectives learned around 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday that 29-year-old Jenah Hargett of Clayton would be delivering a large amount of methamphetamine to the parking lot of the Wawa located at 5632 South DuPont Highway.

Detectives saw Hargett with a man, later identified as  36-year-old Troy Durant of Clayton, in a car in the parking lot, police said. Knowing also that Hargett had multiple capiases out of Kent County courts, troopers took both people into custody. Police said a search of the suspects and the car turned up 19.6 grams of crystal meth.

Durant and Hargett were charged with possession of a tier three controlled substance, possession with the intent to deliver meth, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said they were turned over to the custody of the Delaware Department of Corrections.
