Laurel Police Looking For Robbery Suspect

LAUREL, De.- The Laurel Police Department is investigating the armed robbery of the Shore Shop that occurred early Sunday morning.

Police say the robbery happened on Sunday, August 14, 2016, at approximately 3:00 a.m.  Laurel Police say as a man entered the Shore Shop, located on North Central Avenue in Laurel and brandished what appeared to be a shotgun.   Police say the suspect ordered the clerk to give him all the money, and the clerk complied.  The suspect went behind the counter and police say removed a total of $29.72 before leaving the store in an unknown direction.

The suspect was described as a black male, 25-30 years of age.  He was approximately 6’00” tall, average build, and was last seen wearing a dark blue nylon hoody with a thick black stripe running down the sleeves and across the shoulders, bright blue scarf, black nylon running pants and a pair of white in color tennis sneakers.
