Crisfield House Fire Ruled Arson

CRISFIELD, Md.- Authorities say an early Sunday fire that heavily damaged a Crisfield home was intentionally set. 

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said the blaze happened shortly before 5 a.m. at a vacant two story home located at 25145 Byrd Lane. A neighbor reported the fire, which took 20 firefighters from the Crisfield Volunteer Fire Department approximately 40 minutes to get under control.

Damage to the structure was estimated at $50,000. There were no reported injuries. 

Investigators determined the fire was set on the front porch. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Salisbury office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office at (410) 713-3780.
