SALISBURY, Md-- The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says a Salisbury father and daughter were taken into custody yesterday for obstructing and hindering.

Police say on Monday at 9:20 p.m., a deputy responded to an address in the 1000 block of Hayes Ave. in an attempt to locate Elizabeth Workman, who was the subject of a District Court Bench warrant after Workman violated her probation. Upon arrival, Workman's father, Robert Workman, told police that his daughter was not home and had not been there for several weeks. Police say while speaking with the father, the deputy saw indication that there was someone else in the residence, contrary to what Mr. Workman had previously told him. As the deputy was leaving the residence, police say the deputy was able to identify Elizabeth through a window, crawling across the floor of a bedroom. The deputy re-approached the father, who continued to deny that anyone else was in the home. Police then report that the deputy entered the home and arrested Elizabeth on the warrant. Mr. Workman was also arrested, police report, for hindering and obstructing.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says both Elizabeth and her father were transported to the Central Booking Unit where they were processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Elizabeth was detained in the Detention Center without bond, while police say her father was released on Personal Recognizance.
