3 Kent County Men Arrested in Connection with Smyrna Stabbing

SMYRNA, Del.- Three Kent County men are behind bars after a stabbing in Smyrna.

Smyrna Police say a man walked into the station around 2 a.m Friday with injuries to his upper torso and told officers an acquaintance stabbed him.

Investigators later determined 23-year-old Malcom Casson of Camden and 37-year-old Quintin Lowman of Harrington showed up to a home on E. Mt. Vernon Street, and began a fight with Daryl Glover, 53, of Smyrna.

During the fight, police say all three suspects used knifes, and both Glover and Lowman suffered serious injuries.

The tree men were arrested after being treated for their injuries. Police say Lowman tried to escape from the building while in custody.

Police say the reason for the fight is unclear.

 All three suspects have been medically cleared.  They were each charged and arraigned via video court in JP #2 with the following crimes:
 

  • Malcom Casson: Attempted Manslaughter, Assault 1st degree, Possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, Conspiracy 2nd- degree (Committed to DOC for lack of $151,000 secured bond).
  • Quintin Lowman: Attempted Murder 1st, Assault 1st degree, Possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony, Escape 2nd degree, Conspiracy 2nd degree, Theft under $1500 (Committed to DOC for lack of $203,000 secured bond).
  • Daryl Glover: Assault 1st (Committed to DOC for lack of $25,000 secured bond).
