Ocean City Police Investigate Bank of Ocean City Armed Robbery

OCEAN CITY, Md. -- Ocean City Police say they are investigating an armed bank robbery that occurred earlier this afternoon at the Bank of Ocean City.

Bank tellers told police at around 2:15 p.m., the suspect entered the bank on Coastal Highway and demanded money from the tellers, threatening two employees at gunpoint. Police say the suspect then fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

OCPD describe the suspect as an African American male in his late 20's to early 30's with a medium build, 5"6-5"10 tall, wearing a floppy bucket hat and a fake beard. The suspect was allegedly seen wearing a beige jumpsuit and was holding a white package. Police say it is believed that after robbing the bank, the suspect traveled south on Coastal Highway by foot.
