SEAFORD, Del. -- The City of Seaford Police say they have made an arrest after a heroin drug bust Wednesday afternoon.

At around 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, police say Seaford officers along with officers from the Delaware State Police Troop #5 contacted Rontay Holmes, 23, of Seaford, in the parking lot of the Meadowbridge Apartments. Authorities report they had a warrant for Holmes' arrest in relation to drug charges. Police took Holmes into custody after making contact with him and recovered 143 bags of heroin and $880 in suspected drug money in Holmes' pockets.

Police say Holmes is waiting arraignment at the Justice of the Peace Court #2 where he is being charged with delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance in the tier 3 quantity.
