Police Searching for Suspect in Bridgeville Assault

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.-  Delaware State Police are continuing to seek the public’s assistance in locating a Seaford woman connected to an assault investigation.

On July 21, troopers responded to a home in the 12000 block of Jones Dogwood Drive for a reported assault. Police say a 53-year-old male had been cut across the neck after a verbal altercation between him and 27-year-old Ashley Gray became physical. 

According to troopers, Gray took off after the incident in a grey car and has not yet been located.

The 53-year-old victim was taken to the hospital, where he was admitted due to the severity of his injury. Police say he has since been released.

Gray is wanted by the state police for Assault 1st and Possession of a Deadly Weapon During the Commission of a Felony.

Police believe Gray may be in the Laurel area, but if anyone has any information on her exact whereabouts, they are asked to contact the Detective M. Doughty at 302-752-3794. Information may also be provided by calling Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333, via the internet at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com, or by sending an anonymous tip by text to 274637 (CRIMES) using the keyword “DSP.”
