Three Arrested Following Large Drug Bust at Dover Motel

DOVER, Del. - Three people have been arrested on drug charges after Dover police said they found well over a thousand bags of heroin in a motel room.

According to the Dover Police Department, officers were attempting to carry out a search of 44-year-old Willie Hale on Monday at 2:21 p.m. at the Kent Budget Motel on North DuPont Highway. When they approached the room, officers said 42-year-old Ricky Clark ran into the room, and they saw him flush marijuana down the toilet.

Police said 32-year-old Alysa Tosson was also in the room and had 0.2 grams of marijuana, three ecstasy pills, one molly pill and six Tramadol pills.

A search of the room turned up 1,355 bags (20.325) grams of heroin packaged for sale, according to police. Hale was not present at the time of the search but later turned himself in to the Dover Police Department.

Police said Hale was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $122,100 cash bond on the following charges:

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin  
  • Tier 5 Possession of Heroin
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree
  • Violation of Probation
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Local Fugitive

According to police, Tosson was committed to Baylor Women's Correctional Center on $122,300 cash bond on the following charges:

  • Possession of Schedule 4 Drug (3x)
  • Tier 5 Possession of Heroin
  • Conspiracy 2nd Degree
  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Marijuana

Police said Clark was released on $1,500 unsecured bond on the following charges:

  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • Resisting Arrest
