WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. --  Maryland Deputy Fire Marshals say they have made an arrest in connection with a June apartment fire.

Fire officials say on June 2, a one alarm fire was reported at 7:45 a.m. at 304 E. Elizabeth Street in Delmar, Md. The fire brought 30 firefighters from Delmar, Hebron and Salisbury Station #2. Fire fighters say the fire was brought under control within 20 minutes and caused an estimated $60,000 in total damages. After a thorough investigation, firefighters say Jamie Joynes, 31, set the fire.

Deputy State Fire Marshals served the arrest warrant and took Joynes into custody at a residence in Frederica, Del. with the assistance of Delaware State Police. Joynes was then transported to Wicomico County Detention Center, where police say she is being charged with first degree arson, second degree arson, malicious destruction of property and two counts of reckless endangerment. She is being held on $75,000 bond. If convicted of all charges, Joynes faces up to 68 years in prison and/or $97,000 in fines.
