KENT ISLAND, Md. - Police have arrested a student for setting a fire in a bathroom at Kent Island High School.

Authorities and staff at the school were able to identify a 15-year-old student as the suspect in last Tuesday's incident. Charges have been forwarded to the Queen Anne's County Department of Juvenile Services.

The maximum penalty the student faces for the malicious burning charge is 18 months of detention and/or a fine of 500 dollars.

As for the handwritten bomb threat found in the bathroom where the fire was set, the Queen Anne's County Sheriff's Office is still investigating who was responsible for that.
