DELMAR, Md. (AP) - The State Fire Marshal's Office say a woman has been charged with setting a fire in her Delmar apartment after she had complained about the air conditioning not working.

The office said in a news release that the fire was reported on June 2. Authorities say 30 firefighters battled the blaze for 20 minutes before bringing it under control. No one was hurt, and damage was estimated at $60,000.

Investigators determined the fire had been sent in a utility closet and a hallway.

Fire marshals say 31-year-old Jamie N. Joynes was arrested Wednesday in Delaware and is charged with first- and second-degree arson, as well as first-degree malicious burning, two counts of reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property in excess of $1,000. She faces up to 68 years in prison.
