SALISBURY, Md.- A Salisbury man is facing gun charges following a shots fired incident over the weekend, according to authorities.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said late Tuesday night that the incident happened on Sunday, Sept. 25 around 2 p.m. as deputies responded to a report of a person firing a handgun on the 1000 block of East Road in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy saw a person in the area who matched the description of the armed person and attempted to approach him. However, authorities said, the person took off, ignoring the commands by the deputy to stop and get on the ground.

The man, later identified as 27-year-old Terrence Marquis Manuel, of Salisbury, eventually complied, according to the Sheriff's Office, while yelling out "it's not mine!"

Investigators said the deputy recovered a .25 semi-automatic handgun from Manuel. The handgun was loaded and had a round chambered ready to fire, the Sheriff's Office said.

Authorities said that through the investigation, the deputy learned that Manuel fired shots at the door of an apartment in a complex on East Road.

Manuel was charged with handgun on person, reckless endangerment, and malicious destruction of property. He was ordered held in the Wicomico County Detention Center in lieu of $10,000 bond.
