Three Loaded Handguns Found During Dover Traffic Stop

DOVER, Del. - Police have made an arrest related to a report of shots fired from a moving car in Dover last month.

According to the Delaware State Police, the three men were arrested during a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon. Police said they pulled over a maroon SUV in the area of Leipsic Road and North DuPont Highway when they learned that 21-year-old Corey Harris, who was wanted for the River Road shooting incident, was inside.

Police said Harris was found with a loaded 9mm handgun. The front seat passenger, 21-year-old Hakeem Gibson, was also found with a loaded 9mm handgun with an extended magazine, as well as 10 bags of heroin. According to police, the driver, 22-year-old Jamel Littlepage, had a loaded 9mm handgun and 28.7 grams of marijuana under the driver seat. A search of the car also led to the discovery of 9.1 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and a bag of heroin. All three suspects were taken into custody without incident.

Hakeem Gibson

  • Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (3x)
  • Reckless Endangering
  • Possession of Heroin
