Police: Man Charged After Stealing and Pawning Tools From Pocomoke Home

Posted: Updated:

POCOMOKE CITY, Md. - Police have arrested a man on burglary and theft charges after officers said he stole and then pawned tools and women's rings.

According to Maryland state troopers from the Princess Anne barrack, the initial burglary was discovered on Sept. 27 around 10 a.m. in the 30 thousand block of Rehobeth Road in Pocomoke City. Investigation showed someone had broken into a locked garage and stolen approximately $2,700 worth of tools.

The following day, investigators learned that 23-year-old Robert White III had pawned the victim's tools for $100 at Crazy Louie's in Fruitland on Sept. 26, police said. White was arrested on Oct. 3 and charged with second-degree burglary, theft between $1,000 and $10,000 and malicious destruction of property. Police said he was released on unsecured bond.

Further investigation revealed that White also pawned several women’s rings, including a 1991 Woodridge Business Institute Class Ring with the initials B.A. on the side. The stone is burgundy colored with an oval shape. Anyone with information about the ring should contact the Maryland State Police Princess Anne Barrack at 443-260-3700.
