Feds: 80 Indicted for Racketeering and Drug Conspiracies Operating at ECI

BALTIMORE (AP/WBOC)- Federal prosecutors plan to announce indictments charging 80 people in racketeering and drug conspiracies they say have been operating at Eastern Correctional Institution in Westover, Md. 

Officials have scheduled a news conference in Baltimore on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the indictments.

U.S. Attorney Rod Rosenstein and FBI Baltimore Field Office Special Agent in Charge Gordon Johnson are expected to appear at the news conference with Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services Secretary Stephen Moyer and Maryland State Police Superintendent Col. William Pallozzi. U.S. Postal Inspection Service Washington Division Postal Inspector in Charge Terrence McKeown is also expected to appear.

    That teacher is 30 year-old Brittney Hughes of Salisbury, Md. Hughes was a first grade teacher at Carter  G. Woodson Elementary School in Crisfield.
