Delaware State Police Investigating Rehoboth Beach Shooting

REHOBOTH BEACH, De.-   Delaware State Police say they are investigating a shooting that sent one victim to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say their preliminary investigation has determined the shooting happened around 2:10 p.m. on Saturday, after Troop 7 in Lewes received a call from the Beebe Hospital in reference to a 19 year old victim that arrived with a gunshot wound to his lower extremity. Police say the shooting was reported to have happened on Wolfe Neck Road, in Rehoboth Beach.

Troopers say the victim contacted a relative who took him to the hospital where he was treated and released for the non-life-threatening injury.

The investigation into this incident is on-going and no suspect information could be provided.
