SEAFORD, De.(AP)- State police say they've captured an escaped detainee who was hiding in the attic of an unfinished detached garage at a Seaford home.
Police said in a news release Sunday that 22-year-old Anthony Zack was hiding in the garage with the knowledge and help of his mother, 50-year-old Tammy Zack, who was also arrested.
Police say they used an electronic stun gun to subdue Anthony Zack before he was taken into custody on Saturday afternoon. Police say he was holding a large butcher knife and hiding behind a false wall of insulation.
Police say Zack walked off a road crew detail on Tuesday. On Friday, police believe he tried to hit a trooper with a vehicle while fleeing capture. He faces numerous charges and is being held on $55,000 bond.
