Easton Road Rage Incident Leads to Criminal Citations for Three

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - Three people were cited for disorderly conduct Saturday when police say they got into a road rage fight.

According to the Easton Police Department, officers responded to the area of Goldsborough Street and Ocean Gateway for a report of a fight in progress. When they arrived, officers said there were three men out of their cars who appeared disheveled and were wearing ripped and bloody clothing.

Investigation revealed the incident began at the intersection of Goldsborough Street and Harrison Street, when one of the cars did not move through the intersection quickly enough and caused a road rage, according to police.

The three men were identified as 38-year-old Joe O’Banion of Denton, 34-year-old Dustin Horney of Easton and 28-year-old Cory Thompson of Easton. Police said Thompson apparently honked at O’Banion, causing O’Banion to flash his middle finger at the other two. Police said when the cars stopped at the light on the corner of Goldsborough and Ocean Gateway, a fight ensued.

Police said by the time they arrived, the fight was over, but traffic had been stalled and 10 calls had already been made to the 911 dispatch center reporting the fight.

The three men were issued criminal citations for disorderly conduct. Police said they advised the men on how to apply for charges against one another for the assaults, since the officers did not witness the fight.
