Dover Man Arrested In Home Burglary

DOVER, Del. - Dover police officers have arrested a man suspected of breaking into a home Monday morning.

Police say 28-year-old Jeremy Hunt was arrested after allegedly running away from officers responding to reports of a break-in.  Police say they responded to a home on the Unit Block of N. Governors Avenue for a burglary around 9:15 a.m..  The suspect had allegedly taken numerous items from the home and took off after being confronted by the owner.  

According to police, officers tried to stop Hunt at Queen Street and Reed Street.  Police say Hunt rode away from the officers on a bicycle until he was stopped at Bank Lane and taken into custody.  Hunt will be charged with second degree burglary, theft and resisting arrest. 

Bond information was not available since the suspect is awaiting arraignment.
