Police: Easton Woman Charged With Assault After Hitting Man's Head With a Bottle

EASTON, Md. - Police have arrested an Easton woman on assault charges after they say she hit a man in the head with a bottle.

According to Easton police, officers responded to Sidetracked at 10 North East Avenue for a reported assault on Friday. When they arrived, they said the victim, 30-year-old William Glenn of Queen Anne, was lying on the floor with a cut on his head.

Investigation showed the suspect, later identified as 28-year-old Sarah Straka of Easton, had hit Glenn in the head with a bottle, according to police. He was taken in an ambulance to Easton Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Police said Straka was arrested and charged with first and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment. She was held on $50,000 bail at the Talbot County Detention Center.
