BLADES, Del.- Police are searching for five suspects involved in a brazen daytime robbery on Market Street in Blades.

The suspects are all described as black males, average height, and possibly of Haitian descent. According to Blades police, the incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 18, when three suspects entered Varial Store Inc. on Market Street near Marina's Restaurant & Bar to rob it. Two other suspects stood watch outside as cars passed on the busy Blades thoroughfare.

Officer Paul Anthony of the Blades Police Department said the owners of the store locked themselves in a back bathroom during the strong-armed robbery while the suspects stole items, then fled. There were no injuries reported. The suspects were last seen on foot on Market Street and possibly got into a tan or gold four-door car that one was described as an early-2000 Nissan Altima, according to police.

Police said the suspects may be Salisbury, Md. residents and are asking anyone with information about their identities or whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
