Suspicious Package at Salisbury Social Security Building Deemed Safe

SALISBURY, Md.- A suspicious package found inside the Social Security Administration building at 2414 Northgate Drive in Salisbury has been deemed safe, the Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office said. 

Authorities said that at around 12:35 p.m. Wednesday, the Salisbury Police Department alerted the State Fire Marshal Bomb Squad of a suspicious package located inside the Social Security Administration's mail room. 

Bomb technicians conducted diagnostic and render safe procedures to identify the contents of the package. Investigators determined that the package contained personal items and the investigation into the incident was closed.   

There were no reported injuries.
