Delaware State Police Looking For Suspects In Blades Restaurant Robbery

BLADES, De.- Delaware State Police are assisting the Blades Police Department with a robbery of a restaurant that occurred early Saturday night.

Police say the robbery happened around 8:17 Saturday night, as two men, armed with an unknown type handguns, entered "El Chicanito",  a Mexican restaurant on South Market Street. DSP says the suspects approached a woman who was working as a clerk standing just inside the doorway and pointed a gun at her while the second suspect approached a teenage boy behind the counter and demanded cash.  The teen complied with the demand, according to police, and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspects then exited the store and possibly entered an SUV before fleeing in the direction of the Blades Elementary School. State Police say there were no injuries.

The first suspect was described as a Hispanic male, and the second was described as a black male, both wearing dark colored clothing, masks covering their faces, and gloves.  Police say they were armed with an unknown type handguns.
