DELMAR, Md.- Authorities say a Delmar, Md. man who was watching a woman's dog while she was out of town is accused of stealing several of her valuables, including a surround sound system that ended up in a pawn shop.

Kenith Lee Buckley, 40, is charged with theft between $1,000 and $10,000.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Buckley was allowed to stay at the woman's home in Delmar, Md. to watch her dog. Investigators said that when the woman returned home, she discovered that Buckley was gone, along with numerous items from her home.

The woman told the investigating deputy that she was missing a surround sound system including speakers, jewelry and two cellphones. Authorities said that during the ensuing investigation, the deputy discovered the stolen surround sound system in a local pawn shop and was able to identify Buckley as the individual who pawned the item.

Following his arrest on the aforementioned charge, Buckley was released on personal recognizance.
