DOVER, Del.- Police arrested a Dover man in connection to at least one burglary.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Lotus Street for a report of a burglary in progress around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The victim told police the suspect took off in a dark-colored Dodge truck with a stripe down both sides after trying to steal a pressure washer.

Officers found the truck on S. DuPont Highway with 36-year-old Christopher Allen behind the wheel. The victim identified Allen as the suspect, and confirmed that several baseball cards found on Allen were stolen from his shed.

Police say Allen also had numerous other pieces of property in the truck, including speakers, tools, fishing equipment, and cell phones that are believed to belong to other victims in the area.

Allen was released on $6,500 unsecured bond on the following charges: 3rd-degree burglary, theft under $1,500, and driving while suspended.

If anyone recognizes the stolen items as their own, they should contact Dean Anderson at 302-736-7126 to arrange pickup.  Police ask that you bring a photo ID and contact information so the investigating officers can follow-up as well.
