EASTON, Md. - An Easton man has been charged with attempted murder after police say he stabbed someone during a night of drinking.

According to the Easton Police Department, 34-year-old Dennis Ayers Jr. was arrested on Friday and charged with first and second-degree attempted murder, first and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and dangerous weapon conceal and carry with the intent to injure.

Police say the charges stem from an Oct. 12 incident when officers responded to Easton Memorial Hospital just before midnight in reference to a stabbing victim.
