Delaware State Police Investigating Robbery in Dover

DOVER, Del.- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating a robbery that occurred to a man walking through the Rodney Village development the evening of Nov. 7.

Authorities say the incident occurred at 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 7, when a 57-year-old man was walking in the area of the 1000 block of Nathaniel Mitchell road in Dover. He was approached by three men, one armed with a handgun. The three men assaulted the man, striking him once on the back of the head with the gun, and stole an unknown amount of money from the victim before fleeing from the area.

Police say the victim was taken to the Bayhealth Kent General Hospital where he was treated and released with injuries that were not life threatening.

Authorities say that all three suspects were described as black men wearing masks, as well as one being armed with a handgun.
