Woman in Critical Condition after Hit-and-Run

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Delaware State Police are investigating a serious hit-and-run crash that left a woman in critical condition.

Troopers responded toe the entrance of the County Seat Garden Mobile Home Development off Wilson Road around around 5:45 a.m. for a report of a woman lying on the side of the road.  

Paramedics treated a 56-year-old female on scene. Police say she was then airlifted to Beebe Healthcare where she is currently listed in critical condition.

Police say preliminary investigation suggests the woman was hit by a car along Oak Street in the area of Garden Circle within the development.  No vehicle description is available at this time.
