SNOW HILL, Md.- Authorities say a woman wanted in connection with a Worcester County stabbing is in custody.

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office said that at around 4 a.m. Sunday, it received information from Ocean City police about the possible location of 50-year-old Kimberly Hinkley, who was wanted for attempted second-degree homicide, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Worcester County sheriff’s deputies and Maryland State Police troopers located Hinkley at a home on Old Bridge Road in West Ocean City and took her into custody without incident.

Hinkley was transported to the commissioner and held on bond.

The Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement agencies had been searching for Hinkley since Friday, and had conducted a K-9 track and a search by helicopter. The active search for her had been suspended prior to Sunday morning when her whereabouts were discovered.
