MILTON, Del.- Delaware State Police are looking for a suspect wanted for carjacking a 64-year-old man near Cool Springs Farm south of Milton late Monday afternoon.

Troopers said the incident happened at around 5:35 p.m. near the 19000 block of East Meadowview Drive when the victim was approached by a man who needed a ride home.  The victim agreed and began driving to the end of East Meadowview Drive where the man turned the car's ignition off, grabbed the victim by the throat, and told him he was taking the car, according to police. Investigators said the victim then got out of the car along with the suspect, who then re-entered on the driver's side and drove away in an unknown direction.

The victim was not hurt in the incident and was able to call 9-1-1 from a nearby home, police said. His car, a Mazda Miata, was located a short time later abandoned on Lewes-Georgetown Highway (US9).

Police said the suspect was described as a black male, between 25 and 35 years of age, between 6-foot-2 and 6-foot-4, 200-210 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes and wearing brown overalls. The suspect appeared to be unarmed, according to police.
