Troopers Investigating Georgetown Robbery

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating after a man says he was robbed while walking down the street.

robbery of a pedestrian as he was walking through County Seat Garden Development.

Police say it happened Tuesday around 10:40 p.m. in the County Seat Garden Development. According to police, a 35-year old man  was walking on Garden Circle in the area of Maple Street.  

Police say a car pulled up behind him and three people got out and approached the victim. Troopers say one of the suspects then struck the victim with an unknown object and demanded money before the victim attempted to fight back.  Once one of the suspects forced him to the ground, police say they removed the victim's wallet. Police say the victim sustained minor injuries but refused on-scene medical attention.

The suspects were described as a white man with a beard, a Hispanic man, and a black man, all wearing dark colored clothing. It is unknown if the suspects were armed.  The vehicle was only described as an older model passenger car, possibly an Oldsmobile or Buick.
