SALISBURY, Md.- The Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships on Wednesday announced it is expanding its presence on Delmarva with the acquisition of a new dealership, Hertrich Buick GMC of Salisbury.

Hertrich Buick GMC of Salisbury, previously Price Buick GMC, is located on North Salisbury Boulevard and is the Hertrich organization’s first venture in the Salisbury community.

“We are ecstatic to announce our newest dealership, Hertrich Buick GMC of Salisbury,” said Fred Hertrich IV of the Hertrich Family.  “We are looking forward to this opportunity to serve the Salisbury community and are excited to welcome new team members to our family. With Executive Manager David Wackett at the reigns, we have the right leadership to continue to grow the dealership and expand our presence on Delmarva.”

Wackett has been in the automotive industry for 12 years and 11 of them have been with the Hertrich family.

Wackett started with the company in 2005 at Frederick Ford in Seaford, where he was a sales representative for five years. He then became the commercial truck manager for a year before becoming a sales manager.  In 2014, he became the general manager of Hertrich Buick GMC of Seaford. His newest task will be that of introducing Hertrich Buick GMC of Salisbury into the Hertrich Family.

“Dave has grown quickly in our company because of his sincere desire to serve our customers,” said Fred Hertrich. “We are excited to watch him continue his success with the Salisbury team.”

Wackett and Fred Hertrich said they are excited to work with the new Buick GMC dealership and the community to cultivate new relationships and grow in Salisbury.

The company said the new Hertrich Buick GMC of Salisbury brings the company full circle. The first Hertrich location, established in 1963, was Hertrich Pontiac Buick in Blades, now known as Hertrich Buick GMC of Seaford. The Hertrich Family now has 18 dealerships, 33 franchises and three collision centers throughout Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Colorado.
