NORTH DOVER, Del. - A Magnolia woman has been arrested after police say she left her two toddlers and an infant in a parked car outside the North Dover Walmart.

State troopers responded to a 911 call Wednesday around 1:40 p.m. referencing a young child found wandering around the Walmart parking lot. Police said when they got there, the 3-year-old boy was already back in the care of his mother, 34-year-old Brandi Jones, who was found by the store's Asset Protection Unit.

Further investigation revealed there were two babies, a one-year-old girl and an eight-month-old girl, who were also left alone in the car while Jones was inside shopping, according to police.

Jones initially gave a false name to police, they said, due to her six capiases out of Kent County Courts and a no contact order with Walmart put in place in June after she was charged with shoplifting from the Camden Walmart.

Jones was taken into custody Wednesday and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree criminal trespass and breach of conditions of a bond. Police said she was committed to the Baylor Women's Correctional Institution on $3,251 secured bond.

Jones was also given a no contact order with Walmart and her three children. A relative is looking after the children at this time, according to police.
