Multiple Injuries Following Five-Vehicle Crash in Dover

DOVER, Del. - Several people were injured Monday night in a five-vehicle crash in Dover.

According to the Dover Fire Department, the crash happened just after 7:30 Monday night at the intersection of Forrest Avenue and Saulsbury Road. 

Firefighters said five vehicles were involved, including a DART bus. When fire crews were first dispatched, they said they were told there was a possibility of up to ten people injured and one person was trapped inside one of the cars. That person was eventually removed from the car by emergency personnel. The exact number of injured was not available Monday night.

Emergency units from Dover, Camden, Cheswold, Magnolia and Felton assisted in taking the injured to area hospitals. No word on their conditions.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
