Delaware State Police Investigating Home-Invasion Near Milton

Posted: Updated:

MILTON, Del. – The Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that occurred just outside the limits of Milton Friday evening.

According to DSP, a woman was sitting in the living room of her home located in the 14000 block of Russell Street with her one-month old grandson when she heard a noise just outside her bedroom window. As she went to investigate, she saw the suspect trying to get into the room by tampering with the air conditioner unit.

The victim called 9-1-1 to report the incident and when she returned to the living room, two suspects forced their way in through the front door. The suspects demanded money and when the woman said she did not know where any was, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and pointed it at her.

At that point, according to police, the victim handed over cash before the two suspects took off.

The victim and her grandson were not injured.

The first suspect was described as a male, 5’08” – 5’10” tall, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black mask over his face. He was armed with unknown type handgun.

The second suspect was described as a male, 6’00” – 6’02” tall, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a black mask over his face.
