Salisbury, Wicomico County Hold Signing Ceremony

SALISBURY, Md.- City of Salisbury Mayor Jake Day and Wicomico County Executive Bob Culver on Monday held a signing ceremony for several key agreements between the city and county. 

The ceremony took place at noon, in room 301 of the Government Office Building in downtown Salsibury. 

Over the past several months, the city and county have been working toward a handful of agreements dealing with everything from the sharing of park space to bringing the Salisbury-Wicomico Regional Airport onto the city’s water system. Documents signed at the ceremony included:

  • Gordy Road - Deed of Easement
  • Scenic Drive - Agreement & Easement
  • Naylor Mill Park - North East Corner Deed Transfer
  • Biosolids & Leachate Agreement Extension
  • Radio communications memorandum of understanding
  • Memorandum of understanding, Sharps Point Dredge Material Placement Site Usage
  • Application for water and/or sewer requests for amendment to the Wicomico County Water and Sewer Plan (Airport)

“I am pleased that the city and county continue to find ways to make government work efficiently for all citizens of the Salisbury Metro Area,” Day said. “I thank the county executive and council for their commitment to our partnership.”
