STEVENSVILLE, Md.- Jude Strawley is a 7-year-old Eagles fan from Stevensville who got a huge thrill this week when his favorite football player responded to his letter.

Strawley told WBOC he wrote a letter to Eagles' rookie quarterback Carson Wentz because Wentz is Jude's favorite player.

"Number one, he's on my favorite team.  And number two, he could be a very good starter for the future for the Eagles, because they're not doing the best," Strawley said.

Strawley said he wrote the letter to Wentz around Thanksgiving.  He said they mailed the letter but had not heard back.  Jude's grandmother, who had taken pictures of the letter, decided this week to tweet the photos to Wentz to see if that would help.

Along with letting Carson Wentz know that he was Jude's favorite player, Jude had a few questions for the QB like what's his favorite food, color, and favorite NFL player.  Well, to Jude's surprise, Twitter worked out.  Wentz read the letter and sent back his responses to one of his biggest fans on the social media platform.

Wentz told Jude that his favorite food is steak, his favorite color is red, and his favorite football player is Brett Favre.

"I was so happy and he's my favorite player.  So who would be more happier to get a response from your favorite player?" Strawley said.

Jude told WBOC that it's tough for him being an Eagles fan because all of his friends in Stevensville are either Ravens or Redskins fan.  But Jude now has some bragging rights, for at least a few days.  And Jude said one day he would love to meet the Eagles quarterback, but right now he's just happy knowing that Wentz got his letter.

"Thank you for responding."
