SEAFORD, Del. (DSPD) -- Delaware State Police say they have arrested a woman after they discovered a warrant out for her arrest during a traffic stop.

Troopers were patrolling Sussex Highway at Bethel Concord Road Sunday morning at 1:50 a.m. when they saw a green Chevrolet Tahoe failing to stay in its lane. A traffic stop was conducted at the time, that's when police say they came in contact with Katie Dilworth, 28, of Laurel, in the passenger seat. A computer check of Dilworth showed Laurel Police Department had a warrant out for Dilworth's arrest. Troopers took Dilworth into custody and noticed the odor of marijuana on her person; she denied being in possession of the drug. Police then transported her to Laurel Police Department where after an extensive search by a female officer, Dilworth admitted to being in possession of a plastic bag containing assorted drugs, which she removed from the inside of her pants.

Police say Dilworth was found to be in possession of 55 white wax paper bags of heroin, powder cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, suboxone strips, and 3 Delaware food stamp cards which did not belong to her. She has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, possession of marijuana, 3 counts of unauthorized use of food stamps, and 3 counts of possession of a counterfeit controlled substance; Dilworth is being held on $23,000 cash bond at the Delores J. Baylor Correctional Institution.
