KENT COUNTY, Del.--The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office is reporting two 15-year-old boys were arrested Wednesday night in connection with the building fire of the old San-Del Pickle Plant and former Mike Davidson Recycling facility.

The property was vacant at the time the fire broke out Monday, June 26 around 5:00 p.m. A driver saw smoke coming from the building located on the 3000 block of the Willow Grove Rd, west of Camden. Investigators followed leads from witnesses who said they saw the two teens, one from Harrington and one from Magnolia, leaving the property at the time of the fire on bikes heading toward Camden. Investigators found the young men in a ditch of an agricultural field, near a roadway east of the fire. Officers attempted to pursue them when the boys ran and officers lost track of them.

On Wednesday, June 28th, police obtained arrest warrants through the Justice of the Peace Court for both teens and were able to locate them later that night. Both have been charged with felony arson in the 3rd degree, felony burglary in the 3rd degree, and felony conspiracy in the 2nd degree. The teens were released to the custody of their families pending a family court hearing.

Investigators say damages for the fire are estimated at over $200,000 and are expected to rise due to small fires that continue to ignite in areas of the property that are not easily accessible to firefighters. The investigation is still on going.
