SALISBURY, Md.- Habitat for Humanity and the City of Salisbury joined forces with a plan they hope will help spruce up the Church street neighborhood.

Two trash bins were placed out front and behind a convenience store at the intersection of Church street and Naylor. The bins will be picked up every Friday by the City.

The convenience store's owner, Cam Chouvhry believes the trash bins will benefit the entire community.

"I think it's a good idea, um, less littering, it'll be cleaner for the neighborhood, it's a good idea, less trash outside," Chouvhry said.

Habitat for Humanity and the City of Salisbury will be working together in observing how the local residents utilize these trash bins during a thirty-day trial.

The organization and the City hope that the collaboration of the community will promote the usage of trash cans all throughout the neighborhood.

Further discussions on how to move forward with a more permanent solution for trash and even recycling will be determined after.
