UPDATE: Police Identify Seaford Man Killed in Car Accident

One man is dead after a car accident in Seaford on Friday. One man is dead after a car accident in Seaford on Friday.

SEAFORD, Del.-  The Delaware State Police are releasing the name of the 57-year-old male that was killed in Friday evenings crash east of Seaford as George E. Keim of Seaford.

According to police, Keim lost control of his Jeep Wrangler on Tharp Road, causing him to spin off into the grass.

Keim got back on the road, but he slid again. His jeep overturned in the grass at the intersection of Tharp and Pineview Roads, police said.

He was ejected from the car and got trapped beneath it, police said.

According to police, Keim was not wearing a seat belt.

He was transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are still investigating. It is not known whether alcohol was a contributing factor to the crash, police said.
