Arrest in Easton Locates 141 Wax Folds of Heroin

EASTON, Md.- Talbot County Sheriff's Office deputies stopped a car for a moving violation last Thursday and discovered a controlled substance prior to the arrest of a local woman. 

35-year-old Brandi Nichoel Payne, of Easton, was identified by police as the driver of the car on Matthewstown Road.  Police said probable cause led deputies to conduct a K-9 search where they located 141 wax folds of heroin in Payne's car.  

Talbot County Sheriff's Office said Payne was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.  

Payne was taken before a District Court Commissioner and released on an unsecured bond, according to Talbot County Sheriffs.
